The paintings represent the landscape of the psyche - the place where the conscious and unconscious meet. They explore the point where our own human nature and outside forces collide as we grapple with our place in an ever-changing and reactive environment. They are inner landscapes and imaginary worlds.

Smith’s painting process reflects the constant push and pull between order and chaos, darkness and light, and the delusion of control.

布鲁克林艺术家，出生于英国。小时候移居美国后，史密斯继续在纽约视觉艺术学院学习艺术和艺术史，并获得罗格斯大学梅森·格罗斯艺术学院的荣誉博鳌亚洲文学学士学位（绘画，1991年）。

Brooklyn-based artist， She was born in England. After moving to the US as a child, Smith went on to study Art and Art History at the School of Visual Arts in New York, and received a BFA with Honors from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University (Painting, 1991).
