可以画廊将于1月3日举办2023年的第一场展览,本次荣幸邀请到艺术家王一带来个展“模拟矩阵”。此次展览将为大家呈现艺术家的三十余件绘画新作。

让·鲍德里亚认为在如今的社会里,模拟与真实的界限已经越来越模糊,手机屏幕、报纸杂志、周围人的言语等等,所有的这些都可以归纳为媒体(传播信息的媒介),媒体作为人们认知世界的窗口,它们总是倾向于表明自己是真实的,就像真正的窗户一样,你透过它看到的就是真实的现实。


人们通过媒体去了解世界,成为了人们唯一能感知到的现实。媒体从信息层面控制了人们对世界的认知,因此,谁掌握了媒体,谁便获得了控制权,而且这种控制往往是发生在潜意识层面的。


在报纸电视媒体还未普及之前,写实绘画是信息传播过程中重要的媒介,传统的绘画往往建立在对真实的模拟之上,期待观众观看模糊的真实与模拟的边界。工业革命之后,艺术品似乎不再专指那些被艺术家创作出的唯一的艺术作品,复制品让本体和仿品没有区别。


当下是一个更加虚无的时代,媒介所展示的是模拟的模拟,是对“矩阵”的模拟,它“遮蔽基本现实的不在场”。在这一秩序里,真实彻底被消解,模拟取代了真实。

王一的新作强调了当下的媒介特征,他将异化的图像再传译,像素块的人体、工具化的形象、刻入脑内的卡通形象…他们透露着条件反射般的快感,带领人们踏入记忆中快乐的深渊。

Keyi Gallery will hold our first exhibition in 2023 on January 3.  we are honored to invite artist Wang Yi to bring his solo exhibition "Simulation Matrix". The exhibition will present more than 30 new paintings by the artist.


Jean Baudrillard believes that the boundary between simulation and reality has become increasingly blurred today. Mobile phone screens, newspapers and magazines, the words of people around them and so on can be summed up as media (media that spread information). As a window for people to know the world, media always tend to show that they are real. All of them would be like a window, which you see through it is the actual reality.


People understand the world through the media, which has become the only reality people can perceive. Media control people's perception of the world from the information level, therefore, whoever controls the media has the power, and this control often happens at the subconscious level.
Before the popularisation of newspaper and television media, figuration painting was an essential medium in the information transmission. The traditional painting was often based on reality simulation, expecting the audience to watch the blurred boundary between reality and simulation. After the Industrial Revolution, art no longer seems to refer exclusively to the only artworks created by artists. Reproduction makes no difference between the original and the imitation.
The present is a more nihilistic era. The media shows the simulation of the simulation and the simulation of the "matrix", which "covers the absence of the basic reality". In this order, the reality is completely dissolved, and simulation takes the place of truth.
Wang Yi's new works emphasise the current media characteristics. He reinterprets alienated images, human bodies with pixel blocks, instrumental images, and cartoon images engraved in his mind... They reveal reflexive pleasure, leading people into the abyss of remembered pleasure.

关于艺术家
王一,2020年本科毕业于中国美术学院油画系。毕业同年考入中国美术学院油画系硕士研究生,现居杭州。

Wang Yi, graduated from the Department of Oil Painting of China Academy of Art in 2020. In the same year of graduation, he was admitted to the oil painting Department of China Academy of Art for a master's degree. Now he lives in Hangzhou.
