MVRDV深圳妇儿大厦部分完工,将于2023年初焕新登场

MVRDV设计改造的深圳妇儿大厦即将于明年初焕新登场。11月20日,恰逢第32个世界儿童日,深圳市妇联举办“深圳妇儿大厦焕新启航”发布会,正式宣布经过两年多的升级改造,昵称为“万花筒”的妇儿大厦将于今年底竣工,明年初逐步开放妇儿相关的服务业态。

The Shenzhen Women & Children's Centre, designed by MVRDV, will be officially open early next year. On November 20, at the occassion of the 32nd World Children's Day, the Women’s Federation of Shenzhen launched the press conference and announced that the building, now nicknamed "Kaleidoscope", will be completed by the end of 2022, after two years of renovation and upgrade, it will gradually open services and programmes to women and children in early 2023.

这座综合功能的高层建筑囊括了儿童探索馆、儿童阅读馆、儿童剧院以及妇女展馆、家庭服务馆以及相关配套设施。凭借色彩缤纷的外墙和景观屋顶,改造后的建筑将成为深圳福田区一道亮丽的新风景。更重要的是,这座 100 米高的改造项目为深圳正在兴起的“适应性再利用”城市更新风潮树立了重要的典范。

The mixed-use building that hosts a wide range of facilities for the welfare of women and children including a library, a theatre and “discovery hall” for children, a women’s exhibition hall, a family service hall, and supporting facilities as well as offices and a hotel. With its colourful façade and green rooftops, the building is a refreshing presencein Shenzhen’s Futian district; more importantly, at 100 metres tall, the building sets an important precedent for repurposing buildings in a city thatis soon to see a “great wave of adaptive reuse”.

Early projects by the office, such as the headquarters for the Dutch Public Broadcaster VPRO and WoZoCo housing for the elderly in Amsterdam lead to international acclaim. 250 architects, designers and other staff develop projects in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative design process which involves rigorous technical and creative investigation. MVRDV works with BIM and has official in-house BREEAM and LEED assessors. Together with Delft University of Technology, MVRDV runs The Why Factory, an independent think tank and research institute providing an agenda for architecture and urbanism by envisioning the city of the future.
