Kouichi Fine Arts is pleased to present an exhibition "oil on canvas"of unique oil paintings by Romana Minamisawa and Kayu Hasuo. Both artists have a point in common which is to layer the oil paints firmly on canvases. Minamisawa mainly expresses landscapes. On the other hand, Hasuo expresses emotional images.
Although their paintings are not figurative, both artists sensuously express images in their recollections. At first glance, these paintings give the impression of classic oil paintings, but this exhibition "oil paintings” is the exhibition of oil paintings that are expressed using traditional techniques by the younger generation living today.
