【ART23展讯】未见之城 The Unseen City | 广州青年“路上观察学”摄影展

前言

Prologue

「未见之城」是广州本土青年摄影师梁昊佳的首展。在「考现学」的启发下，他于广州城市街头进行了时长跨越三年的路上观察与记录。

记录、记录、记录。如果外星人登陆地球的话，做的大概也就是这些事吧？

创作者采用一种基于观察、记录并分析城市景观以及人的生活方式变化的方法，以此来洞察当下之世界。其创作灵感来源于日本的一个现代学派「考现学 Modernology」，与「考古学」相对应，顾名思义关注的是现代城市生活现象，或者说是从多样的视角进行当代城市生活方式与风俗民情研究。

「就是现在！就是这里！」是1980年代日本的时代宣言，代表着一种处在历史舞台正中的兴奋感和一种不愿被时代的潮流抛下的焦虑。以今和次郎、赤濑川原平为代表，一批「路上观察爱好者」聆听着街道的呼唤，挖掘存在于稀松平常的事物中的某种意义。

在21世纪人们受困于疫情的这三年里，创作者通过对广州街头万物的剥离与重构，结合自我审美感知，以摄影的方式呈现具有互动性的二次创作，赋予被社会弃若敝履的「无用之物」诗性与艺术魅力。「未见之城」借创作者视角与作品，让观众从不同的角度获得新的视觉体验，彰示生活场所对人的意义。

其中《一瞥》系列作品便是围绕广州街头具有标志性的各类物体所展开的记录和实验。森山大道曾言，能直接冲击他大脑的大部分事物，其实就遍布在街道和道路上。然而今和次郎并不主张路上观察的所有记录与调查都是有意义的，有的时候往往是先产生了记录的冲动，这种冲动的结果才产生了意义。

与其说是单纯的好奇心，不如说是以这样的感情为契机开始的。

「未见之城」展现了创作者本人看待城市中平淡又易于被忽视的物理环境的独特视角。以摄影为媒介，个体作为「时代的参与者」，持续创作，发现、观察、凝视当下。

"The Unseen City" is the first exhibition of Haojia Liang, a 19-year-old Guangzhou-based photographer. Inspired by "Modernology", he spent 3 years on the streets of Guangzhou to observe and document the city.

"Just keep documenting. If aliens landed on Earth, that's probably what they would do, right?"

The artist used a method based on observing, recording and analyzing urban landscapes and changes in people's lifestyles as a way of gaining insight into today's world. The inspiration comes from the Japanese modern school of "Modernology", the opposite of "Archaeology", which as the name suggests is concerned with the phenomenon of modern urban life, or the study of contemporary urban lifestyles and customs from a variety of perspectives.

"Right now! Right here!" was the manifesto of the 1980s in Japan, representing the excitement of being right on the historical stage and the anxiety of being left behind by the tides of the times. A group of "road observers", represented by Wajiro Kon and Genpei Akasegawa, responded to the call of the street and began to explore the meaning that exists in the mundane.

In the past three years people are suffering from the pandemic, the artist have deconstructed and reconstructed iconic sceneries on the streets of Guangzhou. Combined with his aesthetic perceptions, he presented interactive recreations through photography, bringing poetic and artistic appeal to the things discarded as useless by society. Through the perspectives of the artist and his works, "The Unseen City" allows viewers to gain new visual experiences from different perspectives, ultimately revealing the meaning of living environment.

The "Spotlight" series is based on the documentation and experimentation of various iconic objects on the streets of Guangzhou. Daido Moriyama once said that most of the things that directly had impacted on his mind are actually found on the streets. However, Wajiro Kon does not claim that all recordings and investigations of urban observations are meaningful; sometimes the impulse to record comes first, then comes the meaning created by the results of the very impluse.

"Rather than mere curiosity, it was with such feelings that I began."

"The Unseen City" depicts the artist's own vision of the bland and easily overlooked physical environment of the city. Using photography as a medium, the individuals continue to work as participants in our times, discovering, observing and looking into the present.

Artist Profile

梁昊佳

Haojia Liang

梁昊佳，2003年生于广州，现就读于美国雪城大学建筑学院。自小对都市建设、居住环境相关的一切抱有强烈的好奇心，在个人成长的历程中发展为对艺术、设计、城市规划等领域的兴趣与热情。

游历超过20个国家，体验不同的语言与文化背景后，他在街头悠哉闲逛的过程中找到了摄影的乐趣，此后随时随地的拍摄与记录成为他生活中尤为重要的一环。享受一人漫步街上进行观察与构想的他在摄影创作的过程中，持续探索着属于自己的结构秩序与色彩美学。

Haojia Liang, born in Guangzhou in 2003, is currently studying at School of Architecture, Syracuse University. Since childhood, he has had a strong curiosity for everything related to urban construction and living environment, which has developed into an interest and passion for art, design and urban planning in the course of his personal growth.

After travelling to more than 20 countries and experiencing different languages and cultures, he found the joy of photography while wandering the streets, and since then shooting and documenting anywhere and everywhere has become an important part of his life. He enjoys walking the streets alone to observe and conceptualise, and continues to explore his own structural order and colour aesthetic in the process of his photography.
