This project is located in Jin’an District, Fuzhou city, near the Helin ecologic park and Yingyue lake. With the charm of oil-paper umbrella being one of Fuzhou’s three treasures, it preserves the urban indigenous customs and integrates the taste of Aman luxury hotel, bringing a well-balanced luxurious but recluse lifestyle.
一把油纸伞，
走过千年历史，
穿过烟雨坊巷，
在与古为新的梦境中，
An oiled paper umbrella,
Travels across time and space,
And floats over the misty rain lane,
Building a dream that connects
The past and the future.
经年流转下的非遗技艺，凝固成城市的荣光，亦是镌刻在地域中的不朽文明。回归本心的精神道场，内敛而含蓄地传达油纸伞这一印记，化之场景、雕塑、线性、纹理，遁入人文与艺术织造的秘境。
The skill of intangible cultural heritage is solidified into the city’s glory, an immortal civilization carved into the local landscape. Embrace the inner heart, subtly and exquisitely convey the impression of oil-paper umbrella, transformed by the scene, sculpture, linearity and texture, and slipping into the mysterious realm weaved by humanities and art.
烟雨坊巷的交叠 / 意境
Misty rain lane / atmosphere
坊巷间，烟雨城，
雨幕侵染周身温柔，
以墙为画卷，
绘就榕城的朦胧缩影，
唤醒旧时梦境。
Walking along the misty lane,
Feeling the gentle rain
Kissing the skin,
The wall unfolds like a painting,
Presenting the beauty of Fuzhou City,
And bringing back the memories of old days.

犹如从坊巷深处传来的清脆声，婉转飘荡在耳边，随光阴倏忽至心底，挥之不去，恬淡悠然。
It seems to be a silvery voice from the misty lane, gently floating near the ear, preserved and leisurely lingering deep in the heart with the passage of time.

The skylight corresponds to the statue on the ground while the curtain connects inside and outside. The simple lines give life to the metal. The masonry is supplemented by the warm gold color. The oil paper umbrella is refined in the indispensable decoration, integrated by the texture and the skeleton. The oriental beauty and the noble recluse vibe are reflected and an endless vision is extended.
A sense of belonging comes when you are mentally and physically in peace. From the Song river to the Pearl river, the ancient Fuzhou is the centre of culture and business. Being in and out, real and virtual, static and dynamic, design deduces the noble and low key.

The senses are concentrated by the naturally planted flowers and mountains. The ink-dyed gravels and the champagne gold sculptures coincide the privacy after prosperity.
