Megan Elizabeth Read (b. 1982) 是一位美国具象艺术家，在弗吉尼亚州夏洛茨维尔生活和工作。她主要是自学成才，现在几乎只用油画创作，作品从小型静物到大型绘画，主要集中在女性形象上。

梅在弗吉尼亚州的农村长大，在那里她大部分时间都在探索家附近的田野和农田，或者连续画几个小时，这两者显然都是形成性的。在她 20 岁出头的时候住在洛杉矶后，她回到了弗吉尼亚州，在科技领域工作了多年之后，她终于再次开始为绘画和绘画腾出空间，这也成为了她一生的工作。

自 2017 年 Mae 开始专注于绘画以来，她已在西班牙巴塞罗那的现代艺术博物馆 (MEAM)、沃索当代艺术博物馆、纽约的 Salmagundi 俱乐部和丹佛的 Abend Gallery 等团体和个展中进行了国际展览。

她的作品被多个私人收藏，包括贝内特女性现实主义者收藏，被各种出版物收录，并在 2019 年国际艺术更新中心沙龙中获得想象力现实主义一等奖。

Megan Elizabeth Read (b. 1982) is an American figurative artist living and working in Charlottesville, Virginia. Largely self-taught, she now works almost exclusively in oil with pieces ranging from small still life to large scale paintings mostly focusing on the female form.

Mae grew up in rural Virginia where she spent most of her time exploring the fields and farmland around her home or drawing for hours on end, both of which were clearly formative.

After living in Los Angeles in her early 20’s she returned to Virginia and after many years working in the tech field she finally began making space for drawing and painting again and this has since become her life’s work.

Since Mae began focusing on painting in 2017 she has exhibited internationally in both group and solo shows including the Museum of Modern Art (MEAM) in Barcelona, Spain, the Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art,

Salmagundi Club in NYC, and Abend Gallery in Denver. Her work is held in a number of private collections, including the Bennett Collection of Women Realists, has been included in various publications,

and won the first place award for Imaginative Realism at the 2019 International Art Renewal Center Salon.
