2021 G+AWARDS Global Finals,the annual grand finale of G+AWARDS.As a large-scale project for global design exchange and development, G+AWARDS will welcome five global finalists from China, the United States, Italy, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates to share ideas on “Think global, act local”.The Global Champion is voted by the 2021G+AWARDS Global Final Judging Committee, which is composed of experts on design, media, and authority leaders from the related fields of the global design industry. 上周我们展示了中国赛区冠军侯选人张海曼先生的作品,本周公布意大利赛区冠军侯选人GIANMARIA QUARTA。以下内容为GIANMARIA QUARTA先生代表作品展示,让我们来欣赏他的四个作品 Ethai Café泰国餐厅、Zhe Tian ”折甜“甜品餐厅、POTENT俱乐部以及贝儿福摄影工作室吧!
GIANMARIA QUARTA
上海问和答建筑设计咨询创始人兼设计总监
Gianmaria Quarta先生毕业于意大利米兰理工大学,在与合伙人Michele Armando成立Q&A之前,他曾在上海、柏林和米兰任职,参与了一系列建筑设计、城市规划和景观设计的综合项目,担任概念设计、设计开发和策划。

|Ethai Café 泰国餐厅
隐藏在上海嘉里中心繁忙的地下商场里,Ethai Café对传统泰国菜做了一种全新诠释,专注于用健康食材制作简单清淡的菜肴。朴素的色彩和材料调色板的渐变是基于泰国中部的考古遗址和土地的回想。同样地,Ethai Café似乎是由包裹着外墙的夯土雕刻而成的。
Tucked away in the busy commercial basement of Shanghai’s Kerry Center, Ethai Café offers a fresh take on traditional Thai cuisine, focusing on simple light dishes created from healthy ingredients. The earthy color and material palette is based on gradients reminiscent of central Thailand’s archaeological sites and lands, and its nooks and sitting areas appear to have been carved out of the rammed earth that envelops the façade.

The material selection further enhances this idea of quiet sobriety by deploying a palette rich in earthy tones and alternating rough and smooth textures. Welcomed by the rammed earth gradient at the entrance, the customer then notes with interest the coarse terrazzo flooring that guides them into the space. Lifting further their eye-level, they will discover a rich texture on the vertical surfaces, covered by white arched tiles. Simultaneously, the environment feels natural from the wooden surfaces on the furniture and the grid ceiling, as well as the vegetation. Finally, pieces of artwork constitute different focal points of the restaurant, bringing a traditional Thai touch and finalizing the integrality of Ethai Café.

Zhe Tian
Although representing a niche in China’s vast culinary panorama, the art of Chinese desserts enjoys a long tradition which is deeply linked with a specific life-style, one which allows for a momentary detachment from life’s concerns to focus on simple, carefully crafted moments. In classical poetry, this attitude towards life is associated as much to food as it with the controlled yet lascivious esthetics of gardens, and the combination of characters which gives name to this project, Zhe Tian, reflects this ambivalent beauty, the tension between something sweet but imperfect and temporary, beautiful but broken.

项目坐落在上海历史悠久的前法租界,紧邻繁华的步行街。“折甜”的设计独具一格,宽大的玻璃窗向路人展示出店内的景象,吸引着顾客进入。

在这里,人们既能品尝到童年时家乡甜品的怀旧味道,又能沉浸在现代化的服务体验与空间体验中。“折甜”为人们在过去的残余记忆与现代精致美食之间,找到了一个稳定的平衡。

主用餐区内设置了一张大型定制混凝土桌,客人们聚集在桌前,在分享美食的同时,观赏每道甜品的现场准备到制作的过程。

均质桌面的一角架在半圆形的混凝土花池上,让人联想到质朴的建筑结构。植物从桌面的缝隙处生长而出,揭示了材料本质上的脆弱。
The monolithic slabs of the tabletops are balanced on semi-circular concrete planters in a composition reminiscent of primitive architectures, their surface interrupted by fractures, cracks and veneers from which grass and plants are allowed to grow, revealing the substantially fragile nature of the material.

凭借其简洁而完美的细节,精致的家具,以及富有层次感的空间,“折甜”提倡了一种慢节奏的生活理念,引起了新一代中国客户的共鸣。相比于快餐式的互动体验与即时的满足感,当下的青年人追求的是更进一步的参与感。“折甜”向人们展示了一种更有意识的方式来对待中国传统饮食文化的历史与未来。
POTENT
2020年,世界各地的夜间活动场所都被强制关闭,给俱乐部业界带来了巨大的挑战。限流的活动仅能满足部分人与人接触的需求,中国乃至世界各地的人们都希望能够开设新的俱乐部,这种愿望在年轻群体和电音爱好者之间尤其强烈。Q&A上海是后新冠时代音乐场所重生的代表。Potent俱乐部的设计采用新技术,为重启城市夜生活带来机遇,让人们重拾对未来生活的希望。
With nightlife venues around the world being forced shut, 2020 has been a challenging year for clubbing.Streamed events have only partially filled the need for real-person encounters,and a longing for new clubs to open in China as elsewhere has grown strong especially among younger crowds and electronic music enthusiasts.For Q&A (a studio where music goes hand in hand with design as a creative force) Shanghai is the symbol of rebirth after COVID-19, and designing new techno club Potent offered a chance to restart the city’s nightlife and recharge aspirations and hopes for the future.

场地面积600平米,位于新建的淮海TX大楼中,地处上海主要商业中心的核心地带。建筑本身是一座倡导生活方式的商场,设有从街头服装、火锅店、咖啡厅、展览空间到溜冰场、室内滑雪场的各类时尚概念空间。
Working around this challenge to merge memory and innovation, nature and artifice, we imagined the space as a “dessert restaurant”, a whole new concept in the busy world of food and beverage, a place to enjoy a break from everyday life as well as a laboratory for culinary experiments.

空间设计从黄金时期的俱乐部中汲取各种元素,并将其按照未来的审美混合在一起。Q&A的设计始于纯粹的空间营造,以流动而无拘无束的音乐体验为基础,旨在用材料和灯光为来俱乐部的人们提供一种沉浸式的体验。整个项目被分成了两个空间:光屋和暗屋。
The design of the space draws from the many golden ages of clubbing and blends them together with an eye on the future. Q&A’s vision started with a purely spatial approach based on the fluid and unbound nature of musical experience, and settled for a concept offering club-goers an immersive experience through the use of material and light, separated into two distinct spaces: a Light Room and a Dark Room.
游走在光屋和暗屋之间,人们将被音乐的不同侧面吸引,与他人发生邂逅。他们将不得不承认,夜店是城市文化的关键元素之一。通过Potent项目,Q&A为上海的文化重启贡献了一臂之力。
This esthetic of imperfect, impermanent incomplete beauty borrows from the Japanese concept of wabi sabi to trace a connection between the space itself and the temporal, frail nature guiding the composition of the desert itself. Bringing the relationship between space and time even further, traces of previous lives of the building have been given a second life as precious textures, framed by the neutral white-painted surface of the walls.

Barefoot
经过十五年的忙碌实践,贝儿福需要一个新的、更大更好的“家”。擅长制作家庭肖像及创作充满幸福家庭和夫妻的欢乐画廊,贝儿福不仅仅是一个摄影摄影工作室:它是一个将记忆凝结为未来的地方——一个充满各种可能性的光明、开放的未来。上海问和答建筑设计咨询有限公司设计了位于上海市静安区的贝儿福新工作室,愿能成为收集人们生活中快乐时刻的最佳背景。
After carving out their niche through fifteen years of hectic practice, Barefoot needed a new, bigger and better home. Specialized in family portraits and loved for creating cheerful galleries full of happy families and couples, Barefoot is not just another photography studio: it’s a place in which memories are crystallized for the future - a bright, open future full of possibilities. Quarta & Armando designed the new studio, located in Shanghai’s Jing An district, to become the best possible background for collecting happy moments of people’s lives.

与贝儿福的无装饰方法一致,信任是通过纯粹的质量和效能获得(和保持),整个空间由一个单一元素设计而成:一个二十四米长的功能墙体(设备单元墙体)分割工作区以及接待区。
隐藏于单一的“玩具盒”中,所有的储藏需求都被吸收整合,所有的功能(包括接待台,办公室,化妆间,更衣室和茶水间)和流线都被组织起来:这既不是建筑也非家具,但同时又二者兼是。

考虑到摄影工作室不断变化的性质,Q&A对所有拍摄区域的设计采取了一个恰好够用的方法,从而使原本洁白的原始表面经过仔细的减法处理,从而暴露和构架出建筑材料的粗糙和美丽。
Taking into consideration the ever-changing nature of a photography studio, Q&A adopted a just-enough approach to the design of all shooting areas, resulting into careful subtractions into otherwise white pristine surfaces, exposing and framing the roughness and beauty of construction materials.

张海曼先生是TTD广州本至设计事务所创始人,毕业于广州美术学院。2013年创立本至设计,拥有多年设计及管理经验。善于将自然元素融入到空间中,崇尚自然建造理念。同时,从现代艺术作品中汲取灵感,把对艺术作品的思考和对空间的思考结合,空间即艺术。
Mr.Haiman Zhang, graduated from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, is the founder of TTD Guangzhou Benzhi Decoration Design Co., Ltd. He is experienced in design and management since he founded the design firm in 2013. Advocating the concept of natural construction, he is good at integrating natural elements into the design. Meanwhile, he seeks his inspiration from modern arts, combining thinking on arts with thinking on space that space is art.
设计的项目类型包括商业类,地产类,文旅类等,针对不同的地域风貌,文化及环境,进行实地调研考察,提供设计方案。作品曾获得日本IDPA AWARD国际先锋设计奖,日本IDPA AWARD TOP100国际影响力创新设计师大奖,法国FRANCE DESIGN AWARD法国双面神国际设计大奖银奖,法国双面神国际设计大奖,2019年获得TOP100国际影响力创新设计师奖。2021年获得美国缪斯设计大奖银奖,意大利A’Design Awards设计大奖银奖,作为中国青年杰出设计师,张海曼先生一直砥砺前行,不断探索设计的更多可能。
The types of his works include commercial space, estate, cultural tourism, etc. Because of different regional features, cultures, and environments, he makes field investigations and gives suitable design schemes. He has been awarded Japan International Pioneer Design Award(IDPA), Japan TOP100 International Influence Innovation Designer AWARD(IDPA), FRANCE DESIGN AWARD Silver AWARD, GPDP AWARDS. In 2019, he was awarded TOP100 | International Influential Innovative Designer Award, and also in this year, he won the second prize of MUSE Design Awards and the silver medal of A’Design Awards. As an outstanding middle-young-aged designer in China, he has been forging ahead and exploring more possibilities of design.
