2022年10月14日，澳大利亚景观建筑师协会公布了AILA澳大利亚景观设计奖17个类别的40位优胜者。我们很荣幸地宣布，由BAU建筑城市设计事务所设计的元荡桥荣获2022年澳大利亚景观建筑师协会国际奖！

AILA Australian Institute of Landscape Architecture recognised 40 projects across 17 different categories as part of the 2022 National Landscape Architecture Awards on 14 October. We are thrilled to announce that Yuandang Bridge designed by BAU Brearley Architects and Urbanists (or Brearley Landscape, Architecture + Urbanism) has won 2022 AILA National Landscape Architecture Award in international category!

评委点评道：“元荡桥长586米，横跨元荡湖连接着上海和江苏。这座桥像一条挥舞的丝带，与湖面上的水波相呼应，融合了树木和灌木，给人一种漂浮花园的感觉，充满诗意。除了自行车道和步道，该桥梁还设有休息空间，桥上的景亭探索了当代数字建模，其灵感来自当地的传统雕塑。元荡桥的落地效果与其设计理念高度匹配，集生态、交通、景观和文化于一体，是一件非常优秀的作品。”

The jury describes, “Yuandang Bridge, a 586-metre-long structure, links Shanghai and Jiangsu across Yuandang Lake. The bridge, which poetically resembles a twisting ribbon and echoes water ripples on the lake below, incorporates trees and shrubs, giving the appearance of a floating garden. As well as providing for cycling and walking, the structure incorporates sections for resting, with pavilions inspired by local sculptural traditions and contemporary mathematics modelling. Yuandang Bridge is a remarkable, dynamic ensemble, with the end product matching the dream to integrate ecology, transportation, landscape and culture.”

The AILA Landscape Architecture Awards program provides a key vehicle for the promotion of the achievements and work of landscape architects in Australia.The Awards process is an opportunity for public and peer recognition of landscape architect’s work, and demonstrates to industry, business, government and the wider community the positive impact the profession has on Australian lives through the planning and design of the built and natural environments.

The National Landscape Architecture Awards are an integrated, hierarchical program resulting in annual awards at national level. The objectives of AILA National Landscape Architecture Awards are to recognize achievements that display excellence in thinking, leadership, and results. This year winners were recognised for displaying an effort to facilitate environmental stewardship while striving for cultural sustainability, particularly in the Gardens, Health and Education Landscape, Parks and Play Spaces categories.
