BAU Brearley Architects + Urbanists wins DFA Design for Asia Awards 2022 – Grand Award!
亚洲最负盛名的设计大奖之一「DFA亚洲最具影响力设计奖」，于2022年10月26日公布了今年的获奖名单。今年，DFA共授予了195个项目，以展示不同设计学科的亚洲观点和价值，其中包括9个大奖和186个金、银、铜和优异奖。我们很荣幸地宣布，BAU Brearley Architects + Urbanists因其设计的元荡桥项目，获选为2022年DFA亚洲最具影响力设计奖的大奖得主！
DFA Design for Asia Awards, one of Asia’s most prestigious design awards, announced this year’s winners on 26 October. The DFA Design for Asia Awards showcases Asian perspectives and values by different design disciplines, and the Awards confers 9 Grand Awards and 186 Gold, Silver, Bronze and Merit Awards this year. We are proud to announce that Yuandang Bridge designed by BAU Brearley Architects + Urbanists has been awarded 2022 DFA Design for Asia Awards - Grand Award!
The jury describes: “Yuandang Bridge, involving the construction of a snaking bridge, connecting two sections of the wetland of Shanghai Yuan Dung Lake. The 600-meter bridge is designed to incorporate pedestrian and bicycle passengers across the water and at the same time providing landscape planting and a leisure and viewing pavilion, includeing spaces for play, leisure, and gardening. It is a 'hybrid structure', combining architecture, infrastructure, and landscape, integrating the site's existing paths and environment. The innovative and unique design allows the bridge to be used in multiple ways. Material employed in the construction of the bridge and the resting pavilion also reinforced the fluidity of the aesthetic qualities of the bridge.”

About DFA Design for Asia Awards
Launched in 2003, the DFA Design for Asia Awards is one of Asia’s most prestigious design awards honouring design projects globally that have influenced and meaningful impact in Asia. It celebrates design excellence and acknowledging outstanding designs with Asian perspectives, has been a stage upon which design talents and corporations can showcase their design projects internationally.
Winners were judged and selected by an international judging panel comprising experienced design professionals and experts, by basing on the overall excellence and considering factors including creativity & human centric innovation, usability, aesthetic, sustainability, impact in Asia as well as commercial and societal success.
