「想象力之心」三等奖方案详解｜天华 + 博埃里 (BOERI) + 山水比德

「想象力之心」宁波象山人民广场片区实施性城市设计和概念性建筑与景观设计国际竞赛已于10月圆满结束，竞赛结果公布后获得了极大反响与热烈讨论，感谢各界朋友的关注与支持！拾分之壹团队特将七强方案整理为系列解读文章，希望由此展现出每个方案对“象山人民广场片区”的独特解读，以及对“想象力之心”的深刻回应。

本篇为上海天华建筑设计有限公司（牵头）、博埃里（BOERI）建筑设计咨询（上海）有限公司、广州山水比德设计股份有限公司组成的联合体的三等奖方案——“经略山海，万象归心”的详解。

「HEART OF IMAGINATION」NINGBO XIANGSHAN PEOPLE’S SQUARE AREA URBAN DESIGN AND CONCEPTUAL ARCHITECTURE AND LANDSCAPE DESIGN INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION has been successfully completed in October. The announcement of the competition results received great response and heated discussion, thanks for the attention and support of companion of all fields! One-tenth has organized the seven shortlisted schemes into a series of interpretation articles, hoping to show each one's unique interpretation of "Xiangshan People's Square" and its profound response to "the heart of imagination".

This is a detailed view of the Third Prize scheme of the consortium consisting of Shanghai Tianhua Architectural Design Co., Ltd. (initiating unit), BOERI Architecture Design Consulting (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., and Guangzhou S.P.I Design Co., Ltd.—"Having Seen the Broader World, Coming to the Original Heart".

有感于象山经略山海的城市历程和人民从古至今从未止歇的山海想象，设计在人民广场这一承载市民众多公共记忆的空间，注入新时代下人民全新的想象力，将其转变成融合历史和未来的活力中心，打造面向每一代人的想象力之心。

以人为本的生长式设计理念——在保留市民心中重要的城市记忆和活动空间的基础上，塑造一个随时代共同呼吸、生长的人民广场，通过在人民广场建立象山人与历史和未来的联结，在铭刻象山人民过去美好印象的同时，开启对未来的美好想象。

Inspired by Xiangshan's urban history of navigating mountains and seas and people's never-ending imagination of them since ancient times, the design injects new imagination of people in the new era into People's Square where bears many public memories, and transforms it into a dynamic center integrating history and future, creating an imagination heart for each generation.

The concept is people-oriented growth design. On the basis of preserving the important urban memory and activity space in the hearts of citizens, we will create a People's Square that breathes and grows together with the times. By establishing the connection between Xiangshan people and the history and the future in People's Square, we will not only imprint the wonderful impression of Xiangshan people in the past, but also open the beautiful imagination of the future.

# 设计理念

Design Concept

从塔山到海洋，从仙子国到象山，象山的城市发展与山海关系密不可分。象山，是一座具有山海特征的想象力之城。其中，人民广场更是承载了象山人民二十年来的公共记忆。人民广场也将以这次广场更新为契机迎来从过去的“城市综合广场”到未来的“城市想象力之心”角色的转变。

From Tashan to the sea, from the Land of the Faeries to Xiangshan, the urban development of Xiangshan is indivisibly bonded with its relationship with the mountains and the sea. Indeed, Xiangshan is a city of imagination with the characters of both the mountains and the sea. Bearing the 20-year-long civic memory of the people of Xiangshan, the People’s Square will transform from a multi-use urban square into the heart of the urban imagination on this occasion of the urban renewal project.

场地理解

Comprehension of the site

我们深切体会人民广场中“人民”的意义。设计团队深入现场，通过踏勘、访谈、问卷等形式深入了解群众呼声，我们认为这是科学有序开展工作的基础。在600余份政府调研问卷数据基础上，我们得出结论：广场内部的象群雕塑、圆形广场、休闲草坡，是现场调研中提到高频地标，是象山市民最为重要的城市记忆空间。

After receiving the proposition, we carried out the on-site survey, and interviews and sent out questionnaires to comprehend the opinions and demands of the citizens as the foundation to carry out our work, understanding “people” is the core of the meaning of People’s Square. As a result of more than 600 questionnaires, we have come to the conclusion that the statues of the elephants, the circular shape of the square, and the grass slope is the fundamental urban artifact of civic memory.

我们认为，想象力之心应该是呈现未来美好生活想象的未来之心，也应该是存留过往美好生活印象的记忆之心。在人民广场建立象山人与历史、未来的关联，是我们生长式设计的核心思路。

In our opinion, the heart of the imagination should be represented by both the heart of the future that projects the vision of the imagination for the happy bright future and the heart of the memory that preserves the the reminiscence of the past. Thus, our core idea concludes an organic design that establishes the dialogue between the citizens and Xiangshan’s past and future.

我们提出“经略山海，万象归心”的整体设计概念，设计灵感源自于城市的山海想象，通过历史和未来两条时空线索的叠加汇聚，在铭刻过去美好印象的同时，开启未来的美好想象。

Our design concept is “Having seen the boarder world, coming to the original heart” inspired by the imagination of the mountains and the sea of Xiangshan. Unfold the imagination towards a brighter future, while recalling the reminiscence by overlapping the tracks of time and space.

未来规划将打造“山之象”“海之想”“星之宇”“云之境”四大主题式核心空间，并以集合公共艺术的“深蓝步道”串联山、海、星、云四大核心空间。围绕着四大主题式核心空间，布局组织人民广场、山海万象馆、全民阅读中心、TOD商业中心、全民健身中心及未来社区。

The plan for the future is to create four thematic core spaces: the Image of the Mountains, the Imagination of the Sea, the Universe of the Stars, and the Land of Clouds. All are connected by the Deep Blue Walk which also serves as a collection of public art. Around the four core spaces, it will locate the People’s Square, Shanhai Wanxiang Hall, Civic Reading Center, TOD Commercial Complex, Public Fitness Center, and the Future Community.

# 深蓝步道

Deep Blue Walk

深蓝步道是集合公共艺术的滨水步道，串联新旧要素活力空间的同时，也是区域韧性系统的骨架。以深蓝步道串联山、海、星、云四大核心空间，成为人民广场上的时空纽带，其跳脱的色彩形成连续消隐的开放式空间，结合智慧投影形成“数字+艺术”的星河万象体验长廊。

Deep Blue Walk is a pedestrian route with public art that connects all major active spaces along. What’s more, it also functions as the spine of the climate-resilient system of that area of the city. The Deep Blue Walk connects the four core spaces of mountain, sea, stars, and clouds. It is the ribbon that bonds time and space. Deep Blue Walk is a gallery where digital art can be projected to simulate the images of the galaxy. The vivid color formed an open space where art can integrate with the surrounding nature.

# 山之象

Mountain Image

山之象主题功能片区围绕群众关注的象群雕塑及波浪草坡进行创新更新设计，未来主要涵盖山海驿、儿童乐园、山之象灯光秀等功能。

The design of the Mountain Image area is around the renewal of popular urban artifacts: the statues of the elephants, and the wavy slopes of grass. In the future, the three principal sites will be the Station of Shanhai, the Children’s Paradise, and the "Mountain Image" Light Show.

山海驿在其中作为一处公益性的城市公共配套，将为市民提供休憩、便民、资讯、旅游、党群、应急等多种功能；儿童乐园则以“象”的形象为IP，通过创新的体验方式带来更多参与性和互动感；山之象灯光秀将用音乐喷泉和智慧灯光秀为驱动，上演一场新与旧、跨越时空的对话。

The Station of Shanhai is dedicated to offering resting, reading, tourism information, gathering, and emergency service. The Children’s Paradise uses an elephant as a symbol of the city to bring more participation and interaction to the families in a more innovative way. The Image of the Mountain Light Show is where the dialogue between the memory and the future happens, featured by the music fountain and the light show.

# 海之想

Thinking of the Sea

山海万象馆、全民阅读中心、i30冥想空间将围绕海之想广场进行一体化布局，实现地上、地面、地下一体化的设计模式。

The Shanhai Wanxiang Hall, the Civic Reading Center, and the i30 Meditation Space are integrated together and distributed around the Thinking of the Sea People’s Square.

位于地面的海之想广场是一个向心空间，利用裸眼3D灯光秀，结合漩涡互动水景，打造大型梦幻的室外集会广场；在地下，i30冥想空间模拟出深海之中的效果——一束光穿过中心水景，就像一束希望射入未知的深处，发人深省，声光电等创新手段实现身临其境式的体验，感受自身与世界的连接；从隐藏在LED大屏幕下的入口进入山海万象馆，映入眼帘的是一片壮丽的山海场景，展现硬朗的象山礁石和大自然的壮美。

Above the ground, there is the square of the Thinking of the Sea which is a centripetal space wrapped by a huge continuous LED screen. Naked-eye 3D light show together with the interactive whirlpool waterscape in the center of the square creates a futuristic gathering place. Underground, there is the i30 meditation space that simulates the deep ocean—a beam of light shines through the central waterscape just like a beam of hope breaking into the deep unknown, making people meditate. The effect will be achieved by the means of electric sound and light. Entering the Shanhai Wanxiang Hall through the entrance under the LED display, a scene of Shanhai comes into sight, exhibiting the power of nature and the beauty of the ridged shore reef.

山海万象馆中设有三年展展区，以最前沿的设计展吸引民众，内容涉及建筑、装置艺术、时尚、新媒体等多个领域，并设有4D影院，人们可以跟随设备翱翔于北纬30度的美景之中。

Entering the Shanhai Wanxiang Hall through the entrance under the LED display, a scene of Shanhai comes into sight, exhibiting the power of nature and the beauty of the ridged shore reef. The Shanhai Wanxiang Hall consists of sections like the Triennale Exhibition which attracts people with the latest innovative design of architecture, installation art, fashion, and new media. The 4D N30 Flying Theatre where people can explore the marvelous landscape in the North 30 latitude while flying with the equipment.

此外，跟随观光电梯市民可以抵达昂首之象结构顶部，市民可以沿着道路攀登，享受空中花园的同时观赏象山的壮丽美景。

In addition, going up by sightseeing elevator, people can reach the top of the Rise of the Elephant"structure. Along the way, people can walk through the green path while enjoying the sublime panorama of XIangshan.

沿着海之想广场，顺势向东生成了全民阅读中心。其灵感来源于象山的海洋文化，建筑如千艘帆船的船帆般展开，犹如千帆竞发。在每一片扩展出来的屋顶花园上，人们都可以在绿色、放松的空间里享受阅读的乐趣。我们希望全民阅读中心能成为海洋精神与文化场所的全新诠释。

Following the trend of the Thinking of the sea Square, the Civic Reading Center is formed. It is inspired by the marine culture of Xianshan. The building unfolds and extends like the sails of thousands of sailing boats. Each of the extended roofs is an exterior reading place where people can enjoy reading in a green and chilling atmosphere. We aim to make the Civic Reading Center a brand-new interpretation of marine spirit and culture place.

万卷馆是全民阅读中心的核心空间，巨象书架犹若巨象腿一般矗立在全民阅读中心之中，形成了十米通高的万卷厅标志性的自由空间。万卷馆中起伏的书架自然分隔出了儿童阅读、亲子互动、老年人阅读等空间，同时也保持了连续性。在书架的另一侧，则营造了更加私密且安静的阅读空间。此外，这里还设有可容纳500名观众、承办小型演出的深蓝剧场。

The main interior space of the Civic Reading Center is the Wanjuan Hub. The "Elephant Bookshelf" stands in the Wanjuan Hub of the Civic Reading Center like a huge elephant leg. It is the iconic interior landscape. The Wanjuan Hub is a free space with a height of 10 meters. The undulate shape separated naturally functions like the children's reading area, parent-child interaction, and reading for the elderly while maintaining continuity. On the other side of the bookshelf, more private and quiet reading space is created. In addition, there is also the Deep Blue Theatre which can hold small performances for up to 500 people.

# 星之宇

Starry Sky

星之宇主题功能区是象山轨交、亚运时代新生活的承载点，是站城一体的未来地标。以人民广场站为核心，打造星之宇下沉广场，环绕式布局TOD商业中心、全民健身中心、象山空墅等功能。

The Starry Sky area is the foundation of the metro network of Xiangshan as the city enters a new era after the Olympics. We vision it as a new city landmark where the public transportation node is integrated with urban public space. Around the core of the People’s Square metro station is the TOD Commercial Complex, the Starry Sky sunken square, the Public Fitness Center, and the Vertical Forest Apartments.

星之宇中的地标——天穹水幕下沉广场，在未来将以光伏玻璃为材料、以十二星座为主题进行创新式呈现；同时，星之宇区域将运用地面地下一体化设计，形成连通地铁站、地下商业等多类公共设施和城站一体的地下交通集成系统；而天穹水幕不仅使下沉广场成为一个半室外空间，它也将是一个雨水收集系统。

The landmark of Starry Sky is the Dome of the Sky which is made up of photovoltaic glass panels with a water collection system. Around the dome, shows based on the theme of the twelve constellations are represented in the most innovative way of interacting with all the passengers. The Starry Sky sunken square forming a semi-outdoor space within itself, together with the metro station, becomes an integrated traffic system that connects the metro station, commercials, and other public facilities. Dome of the Sky not only makes the sunken plaza a semi-outdoor space, but it will also be a rainwater collection system.

TOD商业中合体位于广场北部，概念灵感来源于象山俊朗的礁石海岸线，是矗立在轨道交通站点旁的城市标志性建筑，犹如一艘巨舰航行于城市之中。层层退台形成了多层次的屋顶花园，为市民提供独一无二的购物体验。

TOD commercial complex is on the north side of the square. The concept is inspired by the ridged reef coastline of Xiangshan, erecting beside the metro station to establish a flag-ship like landmark sailing in city. The setback on each floor creates green public roof gardens for the citizens, providing a unique shopping experience.

全民健身中心位于星之宇下沉广场南部，其灵感来源于象山绵延起伏的山脊。同山脊一样，全民健身中心连接着场地中的两个高点—垂直森林公寓塔楼和海之想广场。全民健身中心首层设有面向公众开放的各种体育场馆，二层以上为一个可以承办小型体育比赛的多功能体育场馆。

The Public Fitness Center locates on the south side of the sunken square. Its design is inspired by the cascading and undulating ridge of the mountains in Xiangshan. Like the ridge of the mountains, the building connects the two high points on the site—the vertical forest apartments and the Thinking of the Sea square. Within the Public Fitness Center, the first floor is equipped with various types of sports venues for the public, while the upper floor is a comprehensive sports venue that can hold small sports events.

象山空墅的低碳垂直森林塔楼是象山在绿色未来社区领域的最新尝试，生态海藻立面达到低碳目的的同时，为居民们创造了舒适的生活环境。多层次退台为居民提供了室外休息的庭院和屋顶花园，将自然引入到了居民的生活中。

The low-carbon vertical forest apartment tower is Xiangshan's latest exploration toward a green future community. The bio-reactive façade uses a low-carbon and ecological approach to provide residents with a suitable living environment. The setbacks on each floor generate outdoor recreational courtyards and roof gardens bringing nature to the daily life of the residents.

# 云之境

Cloud Land

在东谷路东侧形成的云之境功能片区，未来将成为象山TOD生活的新样板。该区域的核心是云朵广场，它被设计成居民日常生活的中心枢纽。围绕云朵广场，布局着未来社区智慧生活九大场景。

On the east side of Donggu Road is the Cloud Land area. It aims at becoming the marked case of the communities that integrate with transportation-oriented development in the future. The core of this area is the Cloud Square which is designed to be the central hub of the residents’ daily life. In this comprehensive neighborhood center, nine scenarios of smart future life come together.
