" Re-define": Ten Years of Inheritance

In 2012, the "Re-define" movement was launched by the Guangzhou Design Week, together with the Associazione Italiana Progettisti d'Interni (AIPI), and with Italian luxury aesthetic masters Carlo Beltramelli, Virignia Busato, Matieo Pievani, Ben Goh, AJ · Heep, as well as top Chinese designers T.K. Chu, Steve Leung, Patrick Leung, Ben Wu, Dai Kun, Simon Chong. Many forward-looking ideas which had a profound impact on the industry were put forward.

Having Inherited from the “Re-define” movement for ten years, luxury living today has developed a more humanistic value of luxury living instead of highlighting luxurious decor. This change, from luxury residence emphasizing decors to a more humanistic luxury living style, embodies the advanced taste and aesthetics of Chinese middle class.The LHDA - LUXURY HOMES DESIGN AWARDS is a new start after ten years inheritance of “Re-define” and will open a new era of luxury living aesthetics in contemporary China.

The LHDA - LUXURY HOMES DESIGN AWARDS is jointly launched out by the Guangzhou Design Week, the Associazione Italiana Progettisti d'Interni (AIPI), and the Italian Design Alliance (DIA), ten years after the initiation of “Re-define—luxury residence's space design” movement. The award is sponsored generously by the strategic partner Guozhen Manufacturing.

LHDA jury is a group of leading experts and opinion leaders, deeply committed to redefining Chinese contemporary luxury living aesthetics and lifestyles through discovery and recognition of Chinese luxury homes design exemplars—all of us work together to show the world masterpieces of new luxury home design, which combine international design ideas with oriental aesthetics, so as to present the Chinese ideal life: com-fortable, relaxing and tasteful.

Jury Panel

Each year, a diverse group of global leading design experts and opinion leaders in the luxury living aesthetics are invited to form a jury, who are responsible for selecting the most representative works of China's luxury homes design and Chinese designers expert at luxury living. During the evaluation process, we respect every participants and their works, exacting an independent, impartial and professional selection standard.

Eligibility

The Luxury Homes Design Awards is open to all Chinese architect/interior designers with outstanding performance and professional achievements in the field of luxury home design. Qualifications are not restricted by ethnicity, religion, and region.

Categories

Awards are divided into two categories: works (villa/flat/duplex) and designers.

Works

Jurors will select three types of spatial design of luxury residence: villa, flat and duplex under the evaluation standard.

Designers

Designers good at building luxury residences and having their design concepts of luxury residence will be selected by the jurors.

(* The selection jurors will decide on one designer of the year by voting from all designers who have won the Nominated Designer.)

Categories

The LHDA award is open to completed luxury residence programs belonging to Chinese architects/interior designers. The categories of design works are:

A.Villa: High-quality villa with private gardens including single-family, terraced house, semi-detached villa, townhouse, and penthouse apartment that are not only just for “basic living” but showcase the life quality and enjoyment.

B.Flat: One-stored luxurious flat with characteristics of commercial housing and high-quality features, and having relatively high quality, grade, scale and price.

C.Duplex: Luxurious duplex residen-ce/apartment, an incompleted two-stored space(conceptually being one-stored) with exclusive stairs connecting the upper and lower floor, and whose one floor is higher than normal residence.

Entries

Participants need to fill out the "2022 LHDA LUXURY HOMES DESIGN AWARDS Application Form" and submit materials as required. The application deadline is September 15, 2022.

B. As the strategic partner of the 2022 LHDA LUXURY HOMES DESIGN AWARDS, Guozhen Manufacturing will set its exhibition halls across the country as service points, welcoming designers all over China to consult about entry.

Guideline

1. Application information:

Complete the application form and provide one photo of participant (horizontal / vertical full-face & half-length & high-definition portrait for publicity).

2. Materials for submission:

Pictures: Provide not less than 3 drawings of project design, and 10-15 reallife pictures of project . All pictures should be saved in a JPG format and their precision no less than 300 dpi.

Optional submission content: Feel free to submit the video of project as reference for jury review, ideally in the format of MPEG , MP4, or AVI.

Special reminders:

A. All the design entries must be original completed projects starting after January 1, 2018, with full copyright and usage rights. Once fraud or fake is found, the qualification in entry will be cancelled.

B. All works to be submitted cannot be effect pictures, cannot contain watermarks or identifying information such as manu-facturers’ names. Entries that are incomplete, incorrect, or fail to meet the submission requirements will be deemed invalid.

C. The organizers and executive organizers reserve the right to cancel the entry to the applying entity who fails to submit complete works or whose works do not meet the entry standard.

· Leverage the features of materials and environment to establish an environmentally-friendly living environment.

Special reminders:

1. In the evaluation process, the above evaluation criteria have no priority in terms of level of importance;

2. The jurors can have their own disposal of which evaluation criteria are prior to be considered;

3. The jurors will meticulously review all entries adhering to the requirements within the specified time;

4. The jurors have final stay to their selection results, and the participating individuals/units will receive a written notification of the jurors’ final decision.

The jurors will select the outstanding works in each category of villa/flat/duplex which constitute no more than 10 works among all works getting the Excellent Award. The jurors will decide on one designer of the year by voting among all designers who have won the Nominated Designer.

The winners will be announced at the 2022 Guangzhou Design Week exhibition site in early December 2022. A formal award ceremony will be held to commend the winning works and designers, and award them trophies and certificates.

Winners’ Bennefits

International recognition: The winners could showcase their awarded projects, their talents and expertise in design on an in-ternational platform.

Award label: The award-winning designers will be given the right to use the name and VI image of the LHDA LUXURY HOMES DESIGN AWARDS for external publicity, through the use of these labels on websites, digital communications media, signatures, printed works or advertisements, without time or geographical restrictions.

Honorary certification: The winners will receive trophies and certificates issued by the organizers and executive organizers of the LHDA LUXURY HOMES DESIGN AWARDS.

Media publicity:The award-winning design-ers will have multifaceted media exposure and coverage by the organizers of the LHDA LUXURY HOMES DESIGN AWARDS, through websites, new media, magazines and other online media. The winning designers could also have co-llaboration with different entities, which will promote the branding for award-winning designers and design agencies in the global industry.

Award ceremony: The winners will receive the invitation letter of the annual LHDA International Luxury Design Award Ceremony. For award-winning designers, we have professional photographers to photograph your winning works and record your receiving the award during the ceremony. All photos could be downloaded from the official link of the award ceremony event and could be used for news and social media activities.

Online/offline exhibitions:The winning designers / winning works may have opportunities to participate in online and offline exhibition activities at home and abroad.

Design intercourse:Winning designers enjoy priority to attend the international exchange activities organized by the organizers of the LHDA LUXURY HOMES DESIGN AWARDS.

Rights & Obligations

1. Upon participation, participants are deemed to have fully understood and accepted this charter.

2. From the date of submitting entries, the participants will authorize the organizers to use their information of participating works and designers' personal information in any form and free of charge.

3. Participants shall not request to withdraw from participating in the evaluation or request the organizers to return the submitted materials. Participants have no right to claim any compensation or commercial rights from the organizers.

4. Participants should bear full responsibility of participating in this evaluation. If any personal information or works are found to be fake or not meet the entry conditions, the organizers have right to cancel their qualification or withdraw their awards. Participants shall also take full responsibility for all losses to the organizers.

5. If the submitted materials are not complete as required, the organizers have the right to determine the application as invalid.

Dispute Resolution

1. If there is any dispute between participants and their design studios or other designers, the two parties shall seek legal means to resolve their disputes if it cannot be solved by themselves.

2. If other parties raise disputes about intellectual property rights against the participants, the participants should address the disputes by themselves and bear all legal responsibilities as well as all losses caused to the organizers if getting involved in disputes.

3. Participants must have the original intellectual property rights of their entries, otherwise any related disputes will be borne by the participants, and the organizers reserve the right to cancel the qualification and withdraw rewards.
