Bruno Walpoth，意大利木雕艺术家，也是当代最伟大的木雕大师之一。1959年出生于有著400多年木雕历史的世界文化遗产多洛米蒂山，曾为雕塑大师Vincenzo Mussner的学徒，师从汉斯·蓝德纳、1985 - 2008年于塞尔威亚加迪纳职业学院任雕塑系老师，2010年开始专注于木雕作品。

Bruno Walpoth的作品中体现了实践经验和理论知识的结合。他摒弃了自己家乡的宗教木雕传统，踏上了新的道路，他将鲜活的生命注入冰冷的物质；他手中的木头超越了无生命的范围，非生命体却吐露著气息萦绕在你身边，变得鲜活起来，观众就像现代的皮格马利翁一样，被温暖亲密的木头所吸引。





1973 – 1978 sculptor's apprenticeship with Vincenzo Mussner - Ortisei 
1978 – 1984 academy "Der Bildende Künste" in Munich, with Prof. Hans Ladner 
1985 – 2008 teacher at the vocational school for sculptors in Selva Val Gardena 
1996 foundation of the sculptor's group "Trisma" with Willy Verginer and Walter Moroder 
Since 2000 member of the "Südtiroler Künstlerbund"
