Elevated to AIA College of Fellows

HOK酒店设计总监罗颖佳女士荣升AIA（美国建筑师学会）院士。今年，与罗颖佳女士一同获此殊荣的还有洛杉矶办公室技术总监David Frey先生。

这个荣誉旨在表彰在专业领域取得卓越成就并在建筑和社会做出重大贡献的建筑师。

J Lee Rofkind, regional leader of Hospitality for HOK’s Asia Pacific practice, has been elevated to the AIA College of Fellows – the institute’s highest rank. David Frey, technical principal in HOK’s Los Angeles studio, also has been elevated to the AIA's prestigious College of Fellows.

The fellowship program was developed to elevate architects who have achieved a standard of excellence in the profession and made a significant contribution to architecture and society.

Interior Design has released its annual ranking of the world’s leading interior design firms. HOK ranked No. 5 in the Top 100 Giants and one of the Top 10 design firms in several sectors, including office, government, healthcare, education, cultural and transportation.

HOK Opens New Office in Denver

HOK is expanding its reach in Colorado and the Mountain States with the addition of a new studio in downtown Denver. The office will support multiple HOK disciplines and markets, including Healthcare, Science + Technology, Sports + Recreation + Entertainment, Aviation + Transportation, Higher Education and WorkPlace.

HOK has long been a leader in designing for sustainability, resilience, health and well-being. This new studio will bring regenerative strategies to enhance design on all types of projects, from planning and urban design to architectural, landscape, interior design and experience design. The team’s data-driven approach will ensure that its solutions are based on ecosystem performance metrics related to water, air, carbon, soil, biodiversity, and health and well-being.

Advanced Research Centre Opens at University of Glasgow in Scotland

HOK设计的大楼将为500名多学科研究人员提供服务，是该大学新校区发展的核心。近期，来自多学科的学生、工作人员和研究人员已陆续搬入格拉斯哥大学新研究中心大楼。

The HOK-designed building will serve 500 multidisciplinary researchers and is a centerpiece of the University’s new campus development. Students, staff and researchers from multiple disciplines began occupying the University of Glasgow’s new Advanced Research Centre (ARC) last month.

Second Skybridge Marks Another Milestone in LaGuardia Airport’s Terminal B Transformation

The opening of LaGuardia Terminal B’s western skybridge means that every arriving and departing passenger will experience newly built, modern architecture and facilities from gate to curb.

Leaders from across the New York region celebrated the opening of the second pedestrian skybridge. All interior work on the $4 billion transformation of Terminal B is now complete.

Qing Wang Attends Lingang Net Zero Carbon Workshop in Shanghai

HOK规划总监王箐女士受邀参加了由上海临港集团、临港科技城公司、上海现代服务业联合会低碳经济专委会联合主办，双碳中国行工作委员会、嘉创集团等共同承办的“零碳社区，临港引领”专家研讨会。

在会上王箐女士介绍了HOK对零碳设计的承诺，并分享了HOK如何将可持续发展的高性能设计融入和结合到设计当中。案例分享还包含了减少用水和能源消耗、结合能够促进健康的亲生物设计元素的具体策略。

Qing Wang, regional leader of Planning for HOK’s Asia Pacific practice, attended the Lingang Net Zero Carbon Workshop and introduced HOK’s commitment to achieving a carbon-neutral design portfolio. She shared a case study describing HOK’s approach to high-performance design and the team’s strategies for reducing energy and water use, as well as efforts to integrate biophilic design elements that promote health and wellness.

Speakers shared their career paths and contributions to sustainability and wellness as well as their advice for young architects and their proudest achievements and challenges in architecture.
