Vera Tchikovani is an abstract and gestural painter. Her painting is a journey of self discovery and a search for authenticity in artistic expression. Her process involves her whole being : emotional, intellectual and physical, and is based on her whole being : life experiences , visions, responses to life. She does not begin her painting with a preconceived plan or idea, but rather allows the subconscious guide the process and establish the rhythm, harmony and balance . She is especially committed to the search for simplicity and honesty in her art, and for that gesture, line and color that would best express her inner world.

维拉·奇科瓦尼是一位抽象派画家，目前在旧金山生活和工作。她有俄罗斯血统，在法国巴黎长大，十几岁时移居美国。她获得了文学硕士学位，并在加州大学伯克利分校从事斯拉夫语言和文学的研究生工作。她在教育事业上取得了成功，但她的真爱始终是艺术。她始终与艺术世界保持联系。她最大的影响是抽象表现主义，并在抽象表现主义大师格伦·莫里瓦基（Glen Moriwaki）的指导下学习绘画，学了四年。此外，她还师从安·鲍德温、史蒂夫·艾莫内、弗兰·斯基尔斯、米拉·怀特、南希·希利斯和克里斯塔·哈里斯。在过去的十年里，她一直是一位成功艺术家，一直在旧金山湾区展示她的作品。
