GP设计的北京保利大都会项目荣获2022年美国建筑奖

GP’s Beijing Tongzhou Poly Metropolitan complex received the 2022 American Architecture Award, sponsored by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum for Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies! Located in the Tongzhou district of Beijing, this three-building complex covers two parcels adjacent to the trunk roads on the west and one parcel from the Tonghui River on the south. The high-rise office buildings in the parcel feature clean, rectilinear forms that identify the west interface of the mixed-use parcel. Within the complex, the north-south retail street is in the core area, closely interacting with the surrounding sites. The tower design concepts are based on two aspects: enhancement of the urban axis and highlight of the local features. The “portal” shape designed for the tower massing not only enhances the west axis of urban trunk roads but also points at the pivotal river on the south. The tower facades wrapping the “portal” use undulating geometrical elements inspired by the fluidity of the nearby Tonghui River.

近日，由GP设计的北京保利大都汇项目荣获2022年美国建筑奖，该奖项由芝加哥雅典娜神庙：建筑设计博物馆和欧洲建筑艺术设计与城市研究中心共同赞助。该项目位于北京通州区，三座主体建筑分别位于靠近西侧主干道的两地块和南侧通惠河的一地块内。高层办公塔楼拥有简洁直线型的外观，矗立于地块西侧界面。综合体内部核心区域为一条南北商业街，将周围地块串联起来。塔楼的建筑设计理念基于两个原则：强化城市中轴线、凸显当地特色。塔楼“门户”般的体量和形态不仅强化了城市主干道西轴的存在感，同时也指向南侧的主河道，包裹着“门户”的塔楼外立面采用起伏波浪的几何元素，其灵感来自于附近碧波荡漾的通惠河。

The firm’s Mennica Legacy Tower project was also recognized with an Honorable Mention in the program. From a shortlist of 400 projects, the jury selected over 150 as the best new buildings designed and constructed by American architects in the U.S. and abroad, and by international architects for buildings designed and built in the United States.

GP另一项目在波兰首都华沙的Mennica大厦也获得了评委会的特别提名奖。评委会从400个由美国建筑师设计的海内外项目，以及由海外设计师设计的美国境内项目中遴选出超过150个优秀项目提出了荣誉嘉奖。

Three GP projects received Honorable Mentions in the 2022 International Architecture Awards, a program sponsored by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum for Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. The three projects include Poly 335 Financial Center in Guangzhou, China; CR Financial Headquarters in Shenzhen, China; and Mennica Legacy Tower in Warsaw, Poland.

Hundreds of submissions were received for this year’s annual global awards program from architecture firms across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Australia and the Americas. The International Architecture Awards are noted as the “highest and most prestigious distinguished building awards program that honor new and cutting-edge design.”
