Focusing on the current social pain point "plastic pollution", this work is designed for recycling with plastic waste. Pattern features: This original work takes destroyed world heritage architectures including Notre Dame Cathedral and Yuanmingyuan (Old Summer Palace) as its major elements, implying that destructive human greed have caused the nature’s counterattack. It aims to advocates the idea that to protect the environment is to protect human civilization.
Color features: The “one pattern with two colors” design allows people to wear one same silk scarf with two different styles by simple folding. In doing so, it hopes to protect environment by save costs and reduce purchase. Material features: The scarf is made of PRET advanced material. It takes three years to develop environment-friendly fabrics from marine trash. Three pieces of plastic trash can be made into a silk scarf and six pieces can be made into a backpack. Starting from the utilized material, we combine technology and art to improve the ecological damage caused by marine trash, which verifies our original intention: remodeling. Market potential: According to the statistics of China's luxury consumption industry in 2021, if this work is priced 980 RMB, the profit of each product can reach 300% of its cost. Besides, this product is in line with China's sustainable development strategy. As a national support project, to a certain extent, some fixed costs such as costs on equipment can be reduced. Lifestyle: Ultimately, the purpose of products is not to make profits, but to call on the society to protect nature, respect nature, recycle the garbage abandoned by human beings in the sea, and create an infinite cycle of "product → recycling → product", so as to improve ecology as well as to shape a sustainable lifestyle.
"Forgiving green" is a derogatory phrase in Chinese, and Chinese people all stay away from the so-called “green hat”, which means cuckold. But why does this happen? Through research and thinking, I found historical, social and cultural reasons behind this phenomenon. These reasons are showed in the form of illustration by extracted elements of “forgiving green”, making people understand the source and situation of "forgiving green", and have the courage to pursue their loved green colors and escape from any anxious green world.
In ancient China, Yuanxi Festival, also known as Lantern Festival or Shangyuan Festival, was a very important festival. On this day, the royal family and the folks held festival activities such as watching the moon, lighting lanterns and guessing lantern riddles to pray for good luck. There was a romantic saying: in the eyes of cats, humans are all big cats. Therefore, this work guides us to Yuanxi Festival from the perspective of a cat. The Cat, as the protagonist, travels through the countryside, the city and the palace to celebrate the Festival, showing us a grand ancient Yuanxi Festival.
