BAU's Victoria Pride Center is displayed at Haikou Luxe Art Gallery exhibition “43+1 Languages of Idea”

由何多苓美术馆和D空间发起，万华蜂巢工坊+A8设计中心+言艺术馆联合主办的“观念的语言——艺术与设计的边界共振”主题展于10月28日在海口言·艺术馆开启。

Initiated by HEDUOLING Museum and Dspace, sponsored by HC+2 Studio, A8 Design Center and Luxe Art Gallery, the exhibition "The Languages of Idea -- the Boundary Resonance of Design and Art" was opened in Haikou Luxe Art Gallery on October 28.

此次主题展览展出了BAU建筑城市设计事务所、MVRDV、OPEN、B.L.U.E.、Antoine Predock、家琨建筑、Supermachine和其他国内外知名设计师的作品，以及艺术家何多苓的新作。展览试图以去时间化与空间化的方式，引导观众在相对静止的时间中，穿越光影隧道，漫步模型丛林，进入景观中的景观，感受模糊的边界，以他者身份去观察、挖掘隐藏在形式中的观念语言。

The exhibition features the works by BAU Brearley Architects + Urbanists, MVRDV, OPEN, B.L.U.E., Antoine Predock, Jiakun, Supermachine and several other well-known domestic and international design firms, as well as new artworks by artist He Duoling. The exhibition “…guides the audience across a tunnel of light and shadow, meandering in a jungle of models, enjoying the landscape works in the landscape, through blurred boundaries, observing and exploring the languages of ideas hidden in the form from a third perspective in the way of detemporalizing and spatializing.”

BAU展出的作品是位于澳大利亚墨尔本圣基尔达的维多利亚傲娇中心，该项目由BAU建筑城市设计事务所和GAA建筑师事务所共同设计，并斩获澳大利亚建筑师协会国家公共建筑奖、澳大利亚建筑师协会威廉·沃德尔公共建筑奖和众多国际知名设计大奖。

The model that BAU exhibited is the Victorian Pride Centre in St Kilda, Melbourne, Australia. Designed by lead archtiects BAU Brearley Architects+Urbanists with Grant Amon Architects, the project recently won an AIA National Award for Public Architecture.

The VPC is the first purpose-built centre for Australia's LGBTQI+ communities. It is a place to invent new futures, while honouring and celebrating the brave – and at times difficult – past.

St Kilda has a proud architectural and landscape tradition of exuberance, romance, and escape. Memorable buildings explored the theatrical and the dynamic via exceptional Moorish Architecture and an enthusiastic use of curvilinear forms.

Learning from St Kilda, the VPC includes and then abstracts cultural traditions: the surreal follies of Luna Park, the rolling waves of St. Kilda beach, Inga King’s Forward Surge, the Catani Gardens; the pragmatic Esplanade Vaults, the iconic Catani arched bridge; the Piranesian unravelling of grand 19th Century St Kilda, the decaying beachside structures; the super-graphics of Leo’s spaghetti bar and the Luna Park paintings by Nolan.

建筑空间由虚拟的巨型管道拉伸而成，空间抽象且稳固持久，将建筑语言、结构和灵活的空间整合为一体，融入一种未完成的、坚固耐用的、类似于工作室又如工厂的建筑美学，营造出项目还在不断完善中的强烈氛围。

A series of conceptual tubes emerged as an abstract robust armature integrating architectural expression, structure, and flexible interior space. Engaging aesthetics of the un-finished, the robust, the studio, and the factory; this building reinforces an atmosphere of work in progress.
